LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD
Kingsman: The Secret Service shocked me. Not many movies are capable of doing that anymore. I'm so desensitized to violence and gore that I barely batted an eye at anything in any of the Saw movies. But Kingsman got me.
The final product it delivers is a far cry from what was presented in its trailers. It's nuts. It's not for kids, and it may not even be for a lot of adults. I loved it. I was entranced by almost every ridiculous minute of it.
As much as people like to moan about comic book series getting rebooted and set back to square (and issue) one in the name of appealing to a casual audience, there’s a benefit to even the most seasoned comics fan. A case in point, without the reassurance of the MarvelNOW! label and the issue numbers running from one to six, I probably would have never picked up From the Dead, the first in the currently ongoing series featuring the exploits of Moon Knight, a character I’d only really heard of in passing prior to reading these comics. And missing it would have been a real shame, because this is one of the best examples of storytelling though sequential art I’ve read this year.
